Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a diagnosis?

No. This tool matches symptoms you observe to conditions commonly associated with your pet's breed. It cannot examine your pet, run tests, or make a diagnosis. Only a licensed veterinarian can do that. Use these results as a conversation starter with your vet.

When should I call my vet?

Call your vet if your pet shows sudden changes in behavior, appetite, or energy; difficulty breathing; signs of pain (whimpering, guarding); vomiting or diarrhea lasting more than 24 hours; or any symptom that concerns you. When in doubt, call — vets would rather hear from you too early than too late.

Can symptoms overlap between conditions?

Yes, many symptoms like lethargy, loss of appetite, and weight loss appear across multiple conditions. That's why veterinary diagnosis requires physical examination and often blood work, imaging, or other tests. Multiple matching conditions here doesn't mean your pet has all of them.
